What is a Sound Garden?
A Sound Garden is an interactive and immersive workshop that provides an opportunity for participants to explore the transformative power of rhythm and resonance. Using percussion instruments from around the world, each session creates a collective sound journey where participants are encouraged to listen, play, and connect. Rooted in the belief that sound can nurture balance, creativity, and wellbeing.
A Sound Garden workshop can;
-enhance memory and learning through rhythm and repetition
-have a therapeutic effect when experienced by people with dementia
-reduce stress and promote relaxation
-encourage creativity and playfulness
-foster social connection through shared sound journeys
-deepen cultural appreciation by exploring instruments from around the world
-support holistic wellbeing by harmonising body, mind, and spirit.
-complement a broader suite of body, mind and spirit healing modalities toward aging well.
During a Sound Garden workshop participants will have structured hands-on access to a range of sound healing/percussion instruments including Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls, rain stick, ocean drum, frame drums, chimes, gong, shakers, clap sticks, music and more.
